Welcome To the PeopleSoft Technology SIG

OAUG PeopleSoft Technology SIG Members - The Open Mic session for Q2 is on Transparent Data Encryption

You have asked for networking opportunities to explore what PeopleSoft customers are doing for their data encryption. In this session, we discuss the PeopleSoft Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) capabilities.

For those of you new to our Open Mic sessions, the concept starts with our membership submitting a topic. This could be on an issue they need ideas/help with, or something they did that they want to share with other companies, etc. The OAUG PeopleSoft Technology SIG will select a topic to discuss for the next Quarter. We will work with our Oracle Liaison to get a SME (Subject Matter Expert) on the call with us.

The Open Mic sessions are not guaranteed to have any or all the answers, but we think this is a great way to begin the channels of communication with other PeopleSoft customers running on the Oracle platform.

At these sessions we invite our membership to join and share, listen, and learn from each other and maybe even Oracle.

This networking opportunity requires your participation, however, to be successful! Please spread the word, if this may be of interest to you and others!

Mark your calendar and join us for sharing or learning more about Transparent Data Exchange.

    Background
At the 2001 PeopleSoft Connect conference the suggestion was raised to form an Oracle SIG.  Curiously, there was at the time, a SIG for Informix, DB2 and SQLServer, but not one for Oracle which 60% of the PeopleSoft installs use.  In early 2002 an Oracle SIG was defined and recognized by PeopleSoft.  In January 2006 following the Oracle/PeopleSoft merger, the SIG was redefined and recognized as a member group of the Oracle Applications Users Group, and is now called the PeopleSoft Technology SIG.
